The town of Eldorado is located in the far southwest corner of Jackson county.  The population is 527. (Median age is 42.7 with a median household income of $21,806). Although small in number, the population of this little com

munity is large in pride and excellence of spirit.  Their pride is something they want to share with others and make invitation to those who would pass their way.  The largely agricultural community enjoys a large farmer's cooperative, several businesses, numerous churches and an excellent school system. Along with excellent fire fighting and emergency ambulance facilities, the town of Eldorado also has good paved streets, plentiful and good quality water and sewer systems, and numerous lovely home sites.  Available real estate possibilities are economically reasonable and with its close proximity to the county seat of Altus (twenty-two miles northeast) it continues to be seen as an excellent location to those who enjoy the rural lifestyle it has to offer.
